Dr. Gabal-Shehab is a board certified urologist, practicing in Orange County, California since 2001. She completed medical school and training in Urological Surgery at the University of California, San Diego. With expertise in both male and female urology, she specializes in the treatment and management of urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, kidney stones and urologic cancers. She also has a subspecialty board certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Gabal-Shehab is a member of several professional organizations including the American Urological Association, the Orange County Medical Association, The Orange County Urological Society and the Society of Women in Urology. She has served as president of the OCUS and AUA young urologists rep to the AMA.
She maintains privileges at Saint Joseph Hospital in Orange as well as Hoag Hospital Irvine and Newport Beach. Surgeries and outpatient procedures can be performed at these hospitals as well as La Veta Surgery Center in Orange. Her new, state of the art office in Irvine is modern, calming and inviting and offers amenities such as wi-fi for patients in the waiting room!

Carrascosa-Andre, ARNP earned a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and Bachelors of Arts in Biology from University of Miami and University of St. Thomas, respectively. She continued her education at the University of Texas School of Nursing where she graduated with a Masters of Science in Nursing. Throughout her nursing profession, she has mainly specialized in urology.
She is happily married and the mother of two wonderful children. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors and traveling.
Caroline earned her bachelor’s in finance at Cal State Long Beach in 2007 before realizing her deep passion for medicine. After working for several years in Radiology at Mission Regional Medical Center, she left to pursue her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at Hofstra University in New York. She graduated in 2013 and trained in several specialties of medicine before she began her career in Primary Care Medicine. She developed a strong interest in Urology after caring for her father who suffered from incontinence and BPH, which lead to her joining Dr. Lamia Gabal in 2016. She has furthered her education by receiving extensive in-office training by Dr. Gabal. Not only is she able to treat patients, but she is knowledgeable and capable of performing in office procedures such as prostate biopsies, urodynamic studies, and penile injections. She is also proficient in laser cosmetic procedures such as SculpSure, Mona Lisa Touch, and ICON laser treatments, which Dr. Gabal offers through Prestige Medi Spa.
Caroline is caring, compassionate and believes in tailoring treatment plans for each patient to meet their individual needs. She encourages patients to actively participate in their healthcare to have the most positive and successful outcomes. She believes in combining traditional western medicine with integrative and alternative therapies to achieve patient and medical goals.
Caroline is happily married and lives in Mission Viejo. She enjoys exercising, hiking, and spending time with family in her spare time.
